Lichfields is a gracious villa set amongst 7 acres of woodland in the picturesque Waikoukou Valley.

Just 30 minutes from Auckland CBD, Lichfields is ideally placed to escape the city for a weekend, or as most of my guests find, it's the perfect place to relax while attending weddings in the area.

Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and do absolutely nothing, or if you're feeling more energetic, have a game of tennis on the flood-lit court. You can take a dip in the heated salt water swimming pool, or check out some other activities in the area.

If you stay with me in November/December you will be here when the plum trees are in full fruit. There is no plum as juicy as the one you pick fresh from the orchard and eat there and then!
